Golden Quick Bread Mix
Always the favourite of our samples at Farmers’ markets and events! The golden, buttery flavour and a chewy coarse texture will remind you of corn bread. But it’s made from Kamut, rich in minerals and micro-nutrients and packed with 18% protein. And because this mix is extra-light on the sugar it bakes up sweet or savoury. Anything you can do with corn bread you can do with these babies.
INGREDIENTS: fresh whole ground organic kamut kernels, organic evaporated cane juice (under 7g per muffin), baking powder, baking soda, sea salt.
Our mixes are made in our own dedicated workshop free of nuts, peanuts, dairy and animal products.
BASIC PREP: preheat 400˚F (muffins) or 375˚F (loaves) • in mixing bowl: beat 2 eggs well • add ¼ cup butter melted, 2 tbsp olive oil and 1¾ cups plain yogurt, whisk smooth • stir in package DO NOT OVER-MIX * grease pan, bake 15-20 min for muffins, 25-35 min for loaves DO NOT OVER-BAKE • freezes beautifully • makes 12-16 muffins or 2 medium loaves • Baking Tips • Recipes • Vegan Prep
